Notes: Picture on the right shows a bud and a flower just beginning to open. Picture on left show an almost fully open flower and one beginning to fade. Only disk flowers are found in this plant, no ray flowers. The disk flowers are enlarged and the stamens and style project upwards and outwards. The foliage is gray-green and heavily lobed. 4 species of Hymenopappus in Arizona.
